WILCO Aviation bring to the market this fine example of an MSW Votec 322 registered as HB-YMC on the Swiss aircraft register currently located at its home base in Birrfeld, Switzerland.
The MSW Votec 322 is a Swiss two-seat low-wing monoplane based on the Rihn DR-107 One Design and designed for amateur construction by MSW Aviation of Wohlen.
The MSW 322 was designed by Max Vogelsang and derived from the Rihn DR-107 One Design which MSW Aviation had bought. The first prototype, registered HB-YJY first flew on 6 April 2001. The Votec 322 is a low-wing cantilever monoplane with a steel-tube fuselage, wooden wings with a carbon fibre fuselage skin, and a conventional landing gear with a steerable tailwheel. The aircraft is powered by a 330 hp (246 kW) Lycoming AEIO-540 flat-six piston engine driving a three-bladed tractor propeller. Later a four-bladed propeller was installed to reduce noise. The cockpit has room for two in tandem with a one-piece side-hinged canopy.
HB-YMC is in immaculate condition having had the same owner since new.
Although certified and tested for (+/-10G) the aircraft has not been used for aerobatic manoeuvres but for general touring. YMC has always been hangared and has never been damaged. The last Permit to Fly renewal was performed by the Swiss CAA on November 29, 2016 and was valid until November 26, 2018 therefore, the annual inspection is overdue and installation of an 8.33 KHz VHF COM will be required for operation in and around Europe.
