|
This aircraft is Reims built so is factory corrosion proofed. It is the forerunner of the similar USA built R172 Hawk XP, each having the security of fixed gear and the versatility of the VP CS Prop and, of course, the power of a big engine (although the Rocket has more horsepower than the Hawk XP).
Full avionics refurbishment by well known Brian Cook and team at Bournemouth Avionics and a full bare metal respray by equally famed Alan Moore at Flymoore

Many new items such as throttle and prop cable, cowling fasteners, HT leads and more were installed during the refurbishment
Whilst the aircraft was in for the respray the new LED NAV lights, LED red tail beacon and LED landing lights were installed, and at the same time the engine's Top Overhaul was carried out

One G5 provides a Primary Flight Display, the other G5 displays HSI, and for redundancy/safety both can be configured in flight to do either
