In truly outstanding condition throughout, this fabulous aircraft has been privately owned since new. The principal owner, a lawyer, owned it from 1971 until 2019 (a huge 48 years!), hangared it always and clearly loved it, only selling due to advancing years. It is in amazing 'time-warp' condition inside and out. Its originality has been painstakingly preserved. It has never been damaged. Opening the door reminds you of a 60's classic car, with its lovely smell of leather. Utterly gorgeous! Even the POH is the factory original in mint condition.

Unmolested, original panel. Grey leather seats with red carpets and cream trim, all in superb condition.Panel coaming has some UV damage.

Exterior
|
The paintwork can only be described as 'pristine'. The aircraft underwent an expensive bare-metal respray by the renowned Mick Allen 10 years ago. In its period-correct scheme as it left the factory, there is hardly a blemish on it anywhere.

The aircraft was delivered to Swiftair Leicester by its current owner at the beginning of 2020, with instructions for them to carry out the Annual, ARC and a full IRAN inspection. All advisories were rectified. The extensive work over 3 months included all new fuel and oil hoses, HP fuel pump,Fuel servo, U/C o/h, tyres. etc. etc. The work pack and invoices can be supplied. Internally, the condition of the airframe can only be described 'as new' with zero corrosion anywhere. The engine performs faultlessly. Recent 6 monthly check by Swiftair also confirms no metal in the oil. The aircraft is in many ways unique in view of its ultra low hours, always hangared, no training, no damage history. Priced to reflect its outstanding condition plus its high time engine, there is nothing to suggest its 'bomb proof' IO-360 will not continue to perform faultlessly for several hundred more hours. One recently advertised has 3700hrs. Swiftair will be pleased to discuss the aircraft, its ongoing maintenance, pre-purchase report etc. At sub 1200kg the Arrow 1 can be operated under a 'Self Declared Maintenance Programme.
